A great way to explore this history is to take a tour of the historic house museums in the area. The Historic Homes of Knoxville is a partnership between seven historic house museums. James White’s Fort – 1786, Blount Mansion – 1792, Marble Springs – ca. 1797, Ramsey House – 1797, Crescent Bend – 1834, Mabry-Hazen House – 1858, Westwood – 1890.
